Council’s representation to objectors received

Last Updated on September 23, 2024 by Phil Hamerton

The latest round in the development of the draft HRO has started with the Council’s new ‘representation’ received. OCHDA, and other objectors, have until 8th October to complete any response and submit this to Transport Scotland.

Within the Council’s latest representation it is clear that there will be a number of amendments made to the August 2023 draft of the HRO but these are not submitted. Similarly there are to be changes to the proposed harbour limits but these, too, are not shown explicitly on charts/chartlets as will be rquired.

In general a summary of the content would be that there is to be no change, from the original draft, in the key areas relating to powers over moorings, publishing of accounts, operation of reserve funds and, overall, arrangements for future consultation in connection with safety in, and development of, Oban Harbour.

Since posting the above we have just received the amended draft HRO.
